From 2013 till 2019, Loïc’s work has aimed at stimulating our capacity to get in touch with our senses through which we perceive our surroundings as well as the energies that intertwine in a performative space between performers and visitors.
He was interested in materialising the in-between, the silence, the invisible, hence the non-representational.
Since 2017, Loïc dived deeper into the notion of live event by researching and creating pieces where polyphonic sound was created by the bodies of the performers, be it through their voices or their movements which, in turn, immersed the audience in its soundscape.
While remaining interested in such an approach, Loïc recently expended his scope of research and creation through solo-work where he performs himself.
In it, he engages with his body as an archive, a storyteller and a boombox altogether.
In that sense, Loïc’s work wavers between the sensorial and the conceptual, the energetic and the structural, the abstract and the fictional.
